Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies specifically to the Chrome Extension "BjoRyd – Assignment Saver" published in the Chrome Web Store.

BjoRyd Assignment Saver (the "Extension") helps users save job opportunities and assignments to their personal BjoRyd account.

We respect user privacy and only process data that is necessary to provide the service. This privacy policy explains what data is handled, how it is used, and how it is protected.

This policy does not apply to unrelated services or third-party websites and only covers data processed by the Chrome Extension itself.

The Extension does not automatically collect browsing data, website content, or user behavior.

The only data handled is data that the user explicitly provides, including:

• Email address (used for authentication)
• Assignment-related information entered by the user, such as company name, role, description, contact details, application deadline, and notes

User-provided data is used solely to:

• Authenticate the user
• Save assignments to the user's own BjoRyd account
• Prevent loss of form input while the extension popup is open

The Extension does not track users, perform analytics, or monitor browsing activity.

The Extension uses Chrome's storage permission to store:

• A temporary authentication token
• A temporary draft of the assignment form

This data is stored locally in the user's browser and is removed when the user logs out or successfully saves an assignment.

User data is not sold, shared, or transferred to third parties.

Data entered by the user is sent securely only to BjoRyd backend services (Supabase) for the sole purpose of storing assignments in the user's account.

All communication between the Extension and backend services is encrypted using HTTPS.

Authentication and data storage are handled securely using Supabase infrastructure.

Authentication tokens persist locally until the user logs out.

Assignment data stored in the user's BjoRyd account is retained until the user deletes it.

Temporary draft data stored in the browser is removed after a successful save or logout.

We do not retain data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

The Extension requests the following Chrome permission:

• storage – used to store authentication session data and temporary draft data locally in the browser

The Extension does not inject scripts into web pages and does not automatically read page content.

The legal basis for processing user data is the user's explicit consent.

Data is only processed when the user actively signs in and saves information.

Users have the right to:

• Request access to their personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of their data
• Withdraw consent at any time
